Can I repair my stained grout?
Yes, you can repair your grout and give it a clean and new look. You can always contact us for an estimate.

Is there a difference between granite and marble?
Yes, marble is softer than granite and will scratch easier. Besides the hardness, marble provides for a brighter colored surface.

Do you normally use different tiles for a wall and floor?
Yes, floor tiles are generally thicker and endure more traffic and weight. Wall tiles are thinner and have a glazed surface.

Can I use any type of cleaner on my tile, marble or granite?
No, do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive pads. Stay away from ammonia and or bleach. You can use mild dishwasher soap.

Should I use marble on my Kitchen floor?
No, marble is suited for a area with low traffic because of its softness and tendency to easily scratch. We recommend you use tile for your kitchen floors.

What is granite?
Granite is an igneous (volcanic) rock consisting of Quartz, orthoclase or microcline. Granite holds very will against the harsh outside environment. Granite is mainly used for monuments and buildings but has become popular for interior use. You will find granite in kitchen countertops, fireplaces, furniture tops, and floors.

What is marble?
Marble is a metamorphic rock formed by alteration of limestone or dolomite. Marble is best suited for low traffic areas because of its softness and tendency to easily scratch. Marble can be found in bathroom walls, fireplaces, furniture tops, and floors.

What is Slate?
Slate is a fine-grained metamorphic rock that splits into thin, smooth-surfaced layers. Slate can be used on floors, fireplaces and countertops.

Can I put a hot pot on my granite countertop?
Yes, granite is a hard stone and will resist heat but care should be given when placing hot cooking oils on granite. This can discolor the sealed surface of the stone.

Does Granite Stain?
Yes, but a sealant is usually applied to the surface to prevent staining. You will need to reapply the sealant from time to time.
